US directory of 8,000+ clinics, optimised for organic visibility

More than 8,000 clinics, over 40 types of therapy and over 35 conditions had to be structured so that patients can find the right facility quickly and intuitively.

At the same time, every clinic, therapy and location needed to be findable in search engines. With tens of thousands of possible combinations, that is no job for hand-maintained pages.

Finally, the platform needed a business model: clinics were to manage their own listings and book premium placements without the operator team handling every step manually.

Statamic manages content and templates, while Laravel handles the data-driven logic: the automated clinic import from a third-party system, the connection to Google Places and Google Reviews for always up-to-date location and rating data, and the automatic generation of thousands of landing pages from the structured data. Every combination of therapy, condition and region gets its own search-optimised page.

For search we rely on Meilisearch: filtering across thousands of entries responds without delay, forgives typos and makes finding a clinic as easy as searching for a product in an online shop, a UX standard that traditional directories rarely meet.

On top of that comes a dedicated back end for the clinics themselves: facilities maintain their own data, book and manage subscriptions through an integrated Stripe connection, and see in a dashboard the reports from the custom-built tracking system: the views, enquiries and contacts their listing generates. This turns the directory into a self-sustaining platform.

Patients, who often have a long road of diagnoses and treatments behind them, find vetted clinics in seconds through the fast, typo-tolerant search instead of endless Google odysseys: filter by therapy, condition and region, compare based on real reviews, get in touch, done.

Meanwhile, the thousands of automatically generated landing pages provide organic visibility in exactly the niches where people actually search. From stem cell therapy in Texas to a specialist clinic on the West Coast, every combination ranks with its own search-optimised page.

For the listed clinics, the platform is more than an entry: they maintain their own data, manage subscriptions through the Stripe connection and see in black and white in the dashboard what their listing delivers: views, enquiries, contacts. And the operator team? It focuses on curation and growth instead of administration, because import, billing and data maintenance largely run on their own.

The foundation reaches further than the current build-out: new therapies, regions or features can be added without touching the architecture. A platform built to grow, and doing exactly that.
